• Asian Christian Theological Studies for English Speakers, affectionately and conveniently called ACTS-ES.
• A liberal arts program leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree.
• For English speakers with native or near-native proficiency and with a high school or higher education.
• A bilingual outcome (English and Japanese).
• Fully accredited by the Japanese government.
• For serious Christians who wish to live effectively for Christ in the workplace, as citizens of their countries, as good neighbors, in their family circles, and as church members.
• International students integrated with Japanese students. There are no “international” dormitories or dinning halls, and so far as practical, the same rules and opportunities apply to both Japanese and international students. (Japanese law stipulates different rules, however, for Japanese and non-Japanese in such areas as employment.)
- Requires four years of study.
- Covers five overlapping areas.
1. The Liberal Arts (such as history, literature, psychology, and philosophy).
2. Cross-cultural studies (such as anthropology, development, and poverty).
3. Japanese and Asian studies (such as the Japanese language, Japanese history, Asian church history and Eastern Thought).
4. Bible, Theology, and Church History.
5. Practical Studies (such as internships and missions).
